Location: Thames Valley / West London (Projects across Chertsey, Bracknell, Reading & Basingstoke)
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + package
We are working with a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering essential utility and water projects across the South East. Due to continued growth and internal progression, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects within the water sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an established Project Manager or a strong Site Agent looking to take the next step in their career.
The RoleYou will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects across water and utility infrastructure schemes, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Projects typically involve:
- Water infrastructure and utility works
- Large diameter pipework installation
- Network improvements and upgrades
- Civil engineering works
- Trenchless and tunnelling activities
- Associated structures and infrastructure works
Initially, you will take responsibility for two to three live projects, with project allocation tailored to your level of experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of multiple projects from inception through to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor project performance, programme and commercial outcomes.
- Work closely with commercial and planning teams to maximise project success.
- Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across projects.
- Experience within heavy civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience as a Project Manager or a Senior Site Agent/Site Agent looking to progress.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
- Good commercial awareness and programme management experience.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and project teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work across several projects simultaneously.
- Water industry experience is highly desirable.
- Salary of £80,000 - £85,000.
