London Contract Role Long-Term Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Control Systems / PLC Software Engineer to join an exciting brownfield rail project with an immediate start available within the next 2 weeks.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project with a strong engineering team already in place.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months to 1 year
- Location:
- Central London - Software Development
- West London / East London area near Heathrow - Testing & Commissioning
- Hybrid Requirement:
- 3 days per week onsite initially
- Potentially increasing to 4-5 days during commissioning phase
Key Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- Strong software development experience on the Rockwell ControlLogix platform
- Experience with PLC redundancy systems
- Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508)
- Experience working on large distributed PLC networks
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Previous experience within rail, infrastructure, or industrial automation projects is highly desirable
Commissioning Information
- Day and night shifts available Monday to Friday
- Candidates can choose:
- Full project involvement including commissioning
- Day-shift commissioning only
- Software development only
- A full engineering team will already be onsite to support delivery
