Plasma Cutter

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Plasma Cutter for a 3-week contract at a prestigious site in Mayfair, Greater London. Working for a leading structural steel and specialist architectural metalwork contractor, the role involves executing high-precision cuts on steel components.

Start Date : Tuesday 26^th of May
Rate : £22.00 per hour
Hours : 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (9 hours paid per day)
Contract : 3 Weeks Location: Mayfair, Greater London
Duties :

• Operating manual and semi-automatic plasma cutting equipment to cut, profile, and shape structural steel elements.
• Utilizing Abrasive Wheels safely to grind, clean, and prepare steel surfaces prior to and post-cutting.
• Carrying out manual handling of steel plates, sections, and fabrications within a restricted site environment.
• Setting up and checking gas pressures, torch tips, and regulators to ensure optimal cutting performance and safety.
• Checking cut materials against drawings to ensure structural dimensions are highly accurate.
• Adhering to strict site safety rules and maintaining hot-works safety boundaries at all times.

Requirements :

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Valid Abrasive Wheels certification (Essential).
• Valid Manual Handling certification (Essential).
• Proven experience operating plasma cutting torches on heavy structural steel or architectural metalwork.
• Own standard site PPE and hand tools.
• Reliable with exceptional precision and attention to detail.
