As the Shift Engineer, you ll play a key role in maintaining essential M&E systems, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting the smooth running of a critical environment.
The Role
As the Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across M&E systems
- Responding to reactive maintenance and plant faults
- Supporting the operation of critical systems including UPS, generators, HVAC, and LV systems
- Working alongside subcontractors and site teams to maintain high service standards
- Operating within Permit to Work and health & safety procedures
About You
To succeed as a Shift Engineer, you will ideally have:
- Relevant engineering qualifications including NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services systems
- Experience working with HVAC, UPS, generators, or critical plant equipment
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience within Facilities Management or building services environments
